In 2023 alone, STEAM Box has accomplished the following
In our first 3 months, we won the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Challenge and Lipsky Whitaker Award for our work with LGBTQ youth. Since then, we have won the PBS Digital Innovator for the state, hold the #1 podcast in education worldwide, won the Apple Distinguished Educator Award, won the Tech 10 Award, won the Google Digital Innovator Award and so many more. Just this year we won 1st place in the Henry Ford National Teacher Innovator Award, ARISE Community Justice Award and the Metcalf Community Justice Award.
- 62% of youth participating in STEAM Box more than 20 times (regularly attending) are young women.
- 92% of STEAM Box youth indicate that their grades have improved because of STEAM Box and they’re more likely to attend school because of STEAM Box.
- 100% of participants report STEAM Box makes them HAPPY
- STEAM Box youth averaged 1.7 absences per SB day. 3.6 absences per non SB day during the same months.

In 2023 alone, STEAM Box has accomplished the following
- 28 students received college scholarships specifically based on their work with STEAM Box.
- STEAM Box took 12 students to Japan to study animation for Career Exploration.
- 42 STEAM Box students continue to participate in internships arranged through the organization.
- More than 400 youth participated in our Reading Initiative.
- More than 400 youth participated in our computer learning initiatives like Khan Academy and an Hour of Code.
